Infographic: Black Friday 2015 in numbers

On Black Friday, Amazon witnessed its biggest sales day to date in the UK. Online sales surpassed £1 billion for the first time in a single day (BBC).

As predicted, online channels drove sales this year and many retailers opted for extended, week-long ‘Black Friday’ sales events.

“It looks as if Black Friday spending has been more spread out this year and more weighted to online”, said Nick Bubb, Retail Consultant to Zeus Capital, “but every indication is that the combined event will be bigger than last year overall.”
