Since last week Amazon has reduced its Prime Now range of chilled and frozen products from 163 products (101 Dairy and Chilled, 62 Frozen) to 149 (93 Dairy and Chilled, 56 Frozen).
Delisted lines include four Birds Eye frozen products and several from the Dairy and Chilled including Nestlé, Müller and Rolo chilled desserts. It is not clear why the products have been delisted.
Amazon has changed the prices of 24 products with an equal number of price increases and decreases – 12 listings went up in price and 12 down.
This week, Morrisons is the most competitive retailer as it is now just 9.2 percent more expensive than Amazon, whereas Asda is 10.9 percent. Morrisons was 15.4 percent more expensive than Amazon last week.
Morrisons dropped the prices of ten products (one Chilled, nine Frozen) compared to last week. Large price cuts on two Häagen-Dazs products, from £4 to £1.97, and two Goodfella’s pizzas, from £2.68 to £1, have caused this big change.
Prime Now is now sole or joint cheapest on 94 of 149 products (63.1 percent) down from 69.9 percent last week.
